A Milestone Worth Celebrating
This book is the culmination of my journey as a Dartmouth Medical School-trained, board-certified pediatrician. For years, I adhered to the guidelines of the CDC and the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) regarding vaccines. But today, I am the proud author of Vax Facts, a book that reflects my evolving understanding of this critical issue for all ages and stages of life.
As I witnessed the alarming rise in developmental delays, autism, allergies, asthma, ADHD, diabetes, and other chronic conditions among children, I couldn’t stop asking why. When it became evident that vaccines were at least part of the reason for so many of these health challenges, I wrote The Vaccine-Friendly Plan. My goal with that book was to reduce aluminum exposure and slow down the vaccine schedule, which I believed moved far too quickly for infants and toddlers with developing brains and immune systems.
Now, in 2024, eight years later, we know so much more. My own data revealed that even The Vaccine-Friendly Plan was not safe enough. The harsh reality is that there are no vaccines on the current childhood schedule that have been properly tested for safety. None.
The studies used to support vaccines don’t rely on saline placebos as a control; instead, they compare one vaccine against another. Even when 5–10% of participants in both groups experience serious side effects, the vaccines are still considered “safe” because the outcomes are statistically similar. These studies are typically very short—days, in some cases—so they fail to capture long-term consequences like developmental delays, allergies, or autoimmune conditions. They often look only at specific outcomes, dismissing other negative effects as coincidences. Additionally, these pharma-funded studies never compare vaccinated individuals to unvaccinated ones, nor do they evaluate overall health outcomes or all-cause mortality.

With the country anticipating a new administration, one that includes RFK Jr., regardless of how you voted, we can all agree it is time to heal, time to unite and absolutely time to start putting children first and embrace health freedom.
DeeDee (Just a Mom) grew up in Texas, then the Pacific NW, with a childhood that was beyond difficult. She not only endured, but rose to live a life that is God-guided and focused on children and preventing pain through body work and coaching in all four areas; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Those are the guiding principles we work with at Kids First 4 ever.
I was a missionary kid who grew up in Zimbabwe (Rhodesia when I was there). My parents were very liberal and democrats for life. I recall my mom crying out loud when John F Kennedy was assassinated in 1963. In a rural village in Rhodesia, 6 years old, it was the first time I had ever seen my mom weeping. Five years later Robert Kennedy (RFK) was assassinated. Fast forward to our time and we have Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (RFK’s son) leading the charge for medical freedom today.
RFK Jr. is a man of immense character, an attorney who has been fighting big corporations most of his life. We have looked into his eyes, shared time together and we would trust him with our children. We encourage you to do the same. He spent most of his career trying to hold big corporations accountable and fighting for our environment. When he realized that environmental factors were causing autism (vaccines being at the top of the list) and causing most of the chronic health conditions our children are now experiencing, RFK Jr. made children’s health his top priority. Children’s Health Defense (CHD) was formed and has become a powerful force.

​As you prepare to start a family, your baby's health and well-being are top priorities. One of the most important decisions you’ll face involves vaccines—both for yourself during pregnancy and for your child after birth. In this post, we’ll cover essential information to help you make informed choices, ensuring that your baby begins life in the healthiest possible way.

Preparing Your Body Before Pregnancy

Mom’s body will carry your developing baby. Know how to detox before you get pregnant and what to eat and not take when pregnant.  
If you walked into a hotel room you just rented and it was dirty or had a toxic smell, would you stay?  No because the toxins and environment wouldn’t be healthy, peaceful or calming. Your baby will do best in a clean, peaceful and healthy womb.  They will be renting this space for 9 months!

​Vaccines Recommended During Pregnancy

While pregnant, you will be encouraged to take four different vaccines (flu, Tdap, COVID, RSV), unless you plan to refuse them and have an OB/GYN or midwife who supports your plan. 
If someone knocks on your hotel room door and asks you if you would like to add some aluminum or other toxic ingredients to your dinner order, are you going to say yes?  No, you are not! Your baby doesn’t get to say anything, but they will get what you order!

​Your Birth Plan and Location

Your chance of a C-section is 30-40% in US hospitals (OB/GYN's are surgeons.) Consider a home birth or birthing center birth with trained professionals.  
Not everyone has this option but if I were coming out of my wonderful hotel room that I have been in for 9 months and had all my needs catered to, I would want my exit to be as nice and peaceful as possible. I don’t want people running at me with things I don’t need for my journey out of the hotel.

​​Newborn Vaccines and Medical Decisions

The hospital has standing orders to give your newborn a (synthetic) vitamin-k shot and Hep-B birth dose, often within minutes of birth. Oral vitamin K and no Hep B shot, unless birth mom has Hepatitis B, is a much safer option.
Think about the journey ahead…we are all unique and individual. When a baby checks out of their hotel room it is my belief God gave them everything they need and yes sometimes babies may need help if born too soon or have medical conditions. To give something to a newborn that could hurt them and offers no benefit makes no sense to me.

​​The Two-Month Vaccine Schedule

At two months, your pediatrician will likely pressure you to give 8-9 vaccines at once: Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (DTaP), Polio (IPV), Rotavirus, Hemophilus type B (Hib), Pneumococcal (Prevnar), and  Hepatitis B, and possibly a new RSV shot.  
Oh no, here we go again, room service asking us if we want something that we don’t need and could be harmful without giving any information (informed consent).

​Aligning with Your Partner on Vaccine Decisions

Are you and your spouse’s views about vaccination aligned?
Ask, you may think you know and to be on the safe side have an agreement in writing if you are choosing to do something that is not CDC recommended.
Do this work before you get pregnant.
​In the best of situations, it won’t matter but if tides turned and push comes to shove the vaccine issue can be used against you in a court of law.

​Handling Family and Social Pressure

Extended family may pressure you to vaccinate with false claims of it being for the greater good, and reckless if you don’t. 
My baby, my choice.  Do you want your family to be happy or your baby to be healthy.

​Pediatricians and the CDC Schedule

Your pediatrician might kick you out unless you agree to the full CDC schedule. Pick a pediatric office and provider who will support your plan, even if that plan is to do no vaccines.

Hmm…do we really want someone else to oversee our precious child?  Do you want someone to tell you they know more about you and your baby than you do? Why is that even a thing?!? When I choose to make good or bad choices, I am the only one that deals with them. Only you are responsible for your child’s health and well-being.  The government may think they are, but they aren’t.  This is where coaching can be helpful on how to handle these situations.

Legal Requirements for Vaccines in Schools

Several states in the USA, require vaccines for daycare and school with no philosophical or religious exemptions. This means you must be willing to home school or move to a state that allows exemptions if your choice is to do less than the CDC schedule.
And a medical exemption isn’t a reality….no doctor is going to risk their license for writing one. I believe this is where we fight! We must stand up to the powers that be that say they oversee our lives.

​Educating Yourself

To make informed decisions read and learn like your unborn child’s life depends on it, because it does! Books like Vax Facts, Vaxxed Unvaxxed, Turtles All the Way Down, and Dissolving Illusions will have you more knowledgeable than 99% of pediatricians. Find people who are like minded.  Build a community of people that support you! They exist, but they are difficult to find because of censorship.
Making decisions that go against what others think and the mainstream narrative isn’t easy.  Remember sometimes standing up for what we believe in may mean standing alone.  But are you really standing alone? No! It may seem like it, but you aren’t.  Welcome to the growing tribe of vaccine - risk ware parents.
